Visual assessment

The visual check-up includes an eye examination, eye pressure measurement and screening for the main retinal diseases by fundus examination WITHOUT dilatation. In addition, a prescription for glasses may be issued if necessary. In the event of abnormalities on examination, a second appointment will be scheduled to complete the assessment.

Contact lenses

We renew your contact lens prescription after checking your eyesight and ensuring that they are well tolerated. In addition, you may be offered an adaptation consultation if you plan to start wearing contact lenses.

Due to high demand, this appointment is reserved exclusively for the practice’s existing patients.

Pediatric consultation

This consultation concerns all children under the age of 7. Beyond this age, an ophthalmological check-up is necessary to ensure the child’s visual development, whether or not he wears glasses.

Cataract consultation Centre Ophtalmologique Valence

Cataract consultation

This consultation is reserved for patients with a previously diagnosed or suspected cataract, in order to establish a pre-operative assessment. At the end of the consultation, the surgeon will be able to schedule an operation according to the patient’s
wishes.

Medical retina Ophthalmological Center Valence

This consultation concerns any patient with a known or suspected retinal disease, whether under treatment or not. The main retinal diseases are AMD (age-related macular degeneration), diabetes, retinal vascular accidents or
high myopia.

Surgical retina

Make an appointment for this reason if you are seeking surgical advice for a known or suspected retinal disease. At the end of this consultation, an operation date can be set with the surgeon.

Treatment of glaucoma Ophthalmological Center Valence

Glaucoma treatment

This consultation is for patients with known glaucoma who are undergoing treatment or diagnostic evaluation. The assessment comprises 5 steps: a visual check-up, eye pressure measurement, pachymetry and optic nerve photography, as well as a visual field, essential for follow-up.

We perform visual fields under prescription from your attending physician or ophthalmologist.

A letter from your GP is required in advance in order to carry out this examination.
